Forest City Solar Initiative

All new homes constructed by Forest City feature solar water heaters, and existing homes Forest City received from Navy Region Hawaii are currently being retrofitted with solar water heaters.

By the end state of Forest City’s Hawaii project, over 6,300 homes will be equipped with solar water heaters—a savings of $3 million in energy consumption every year.

The more than 6,300 units with solar water heaters will save the same amount of energy that would normally be consumed by 862 homes in an entire year.
