Your first point of contact for housing qualifying eligibility will be with our Housing Partners at the Marine Corp Base Hawaii Family Housing Office located at Building 455 off Lawrence Road across from the elementary school. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 0730-1530 and Wednesday from 0730-1400. Please call DSN 457-1257 or COMM (808)257-1257.
Your Housing Counselor will review your application with respect to your pay grade and family size to determine eligibility. You will then be referred to our Forest City Residential Management Relocation Office, conveniently located within the MCBH Family Housing Office. We will greet you with warm Aloha and ensure that you and your family receive the personal attention, kindness and caring we would extend to our own Ohana (family).
At Forest City Residential Management, the friendliest Relocation Specialists are here to provide exceptional service. Once your families' housing needs are assessed, we will tour the communities in our courtesy vans to search for your preferred home. Upon acceptance of the home, you will complete two forms for the resident file and complete a 6-month rental agreement upon move-in. The rent for your home is equal to the BAH at the "with dependants" rate for your pay grade. The ease of UDEFT allotment rental payment is initiated for you by the MCBH Family Housing Office.
To assist you in your transition, we provide relocation information packets including change of address kits, a convenient listing of telephone numbers and other information that you may find helpful in your move to Hawaii. We'll even provide directions to world famous beaches, restaurants, and attractions. Can you say Waimea? You will certainly be able to after you visit our Relocation Office. Would you like to try your hand at surfing? We've got the skinny on the North Shore. Waikiki? Why not? For us, it's not just about renting you a house, it's making you feel at home in your new community.
